Adalí Hernández Arjona grew up in rural Mexico in a house made of straw and wood, surrounded by her siblings and hardworking parents. Her father, a forest ranger, and her mother, a housewife, instilled in her the value of persistence.
After high school, Adalí faced setbacks as she pursued two different career paths. She ended up back at home, where her mother taught her how to cook. What started as a practical way to help her family quickly turned into her passion. She recalls, “When my siblings and parents told me the food was good, it made me feel satisfied and proud of what I was doing.”
Her turning point came when she joined Oído’s Culinary and Hospitality Institute, a transformative program at Oído’s headquarters, Casa Hope. There, she found not just technical skills, but also a deeper purpose. “The program taught me to serve with love and do everything wholeheartedly,” she shared.
Today, Adalí is building her own baking business—a dream made possible through the program that gave her tools, mentorship, and confidence.
Adalí’s story embodies Oído’s mission: to unlock opportunities and transform lives. Through Oído, Adalí is discovering her potential and boldly pursuing her dreams.
