Ways to Give
TAX SMART GIVING
Maximize your impact and enjoy potential tax benefits by choosing tax-smart giving options. Whether you’re donating gifts of stock, IRA disbursements, or utilizing donor-advised funds, your contributions can make a significant difference in the youth of Quintana Roo to fulfill their potential through the power of education while saving you money on your taxes. It’s a win – win!
Why Give Stock?
Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or mutual funds, to OIDo is a powerful way to support our mission while also realizing significant tax benefits.
Tax Efficiency – Donating stock that has appreciated in value allows you to avoid capital gains taxes, while also providing you with a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock.
Greater Impact – By donating stock directly, you can give more than if you sold the stock and donated the after-tax proceeds, maximizing your impact.
